Re: A Piece you don't see often
well, that's certainly nearby, but such projects are way beyond me at this point... good luck.
it looks like it originally would have had an electric motor (based on the presence of the mounting area for the light)? it's a beautiful cabinet that appears to be in great shape... but that price seems extremely steep, considering all that's missing. again, good luck.

The works shouldn't be too hard to come by, but the horn and its connection to the tone arm base is a question.

Re: A Piece you don't see often
I am already contacting some of the Columbia collectors that have more knowledge in this machine then me, to see how hard will it be to fabricate the horn and throat.
Always a challenge when a rare machine is strip of its guts.
I know the price is kind of high But I am not going for the buy now, and must take into account pick up by a friend and shipping to Honolulu
I will post more if I were to win this.
Would love to see one complete.

Re: A Piece you don't see often
so would I... so if you pick this one up and get it back together, please remember to post some photos... these "art" models are really cool and they surface only every so often.nipper wrote:I will post more if I were to win this.
