I think proudgrandmomof6 needs to invest in a digital camera, or perhaps a writing class.

One would think when commanding an opening bid of $1000 you could at least drop a picture, or a description a little more enlightening than "It is a brown Victor talking Machine.I would say between 1930's-1950's"
But then again, she's asking $500 for "A 1970's metal trash can like from the 1970;s movies" (again, sans pictures)
How can people not bid on this?

RIDICULOUS! If someone happens to buy the machine, the seller should take some of the money and buy themself a camera! I don't know how the seller expects to sell a machine with no pictures and such a vague description!

I see ebay auctions from time to time like this and do wonder about the sanity of the seller. Would you bid on a "brown car made, I would say, between 1930 and 1950". By the way, the starting price for my car is only $2500. It's in "nice" condition.Energ15 wrote: I don't know how the seller expects to sell a machine with no pictures and such a vague description!

You can trust her, she's a proud mom of, like, 6 kids, like the ones with two arms and two legs, and, like, the grandma of, like, two, grandkids, suggesting that, like, one of her kids is in the same condition of the 70's trash can, like, used.
This is one seller to, like, watch.

The irony is that the Victor she is referring to is probably a Deluxe Monarch and we are all missing a rare opportunity!!
Speaking of, (and I apologize for being off topic) does anyone out there have a Deluxe Monarch? Has anyone owned one? I would love to see some pictures if anyone has them.

The first one to surface was back in the 1980's and belonged to a collector in northern Nevada. I'm not sure if he still has it as I don't think he's very active in the hobby anymore. He found it without the traveling arm and believe it or not, found the correct arm for it installed incorrectly on a Monarch and subsequently was able to complete it. I think another Deluxe has been found since then, but I don't know the details.

We3ll, here's one almost as good - with no horn, a built-in storage system (cram 'em down the horn), and it's PORTABLE!
