Some years back I bought the chassis, all internal stuff and the four record albums out of a C2 Radio/phono. The sad thing was that the machine was complete at the time. The owner had decided to put a modern turntable and amp in the cabinet. I begged him not to do it, offering to find him an even better cabinet that had already been bastardized. No luck... so I ended up with the four books I needed for my C2, some extra parts and unfortunately there's one less example of this rare piece of history.

This sort of thing drives me to distraction. I make jokes about " The Canadian Credenza" because I've never seen a Victor Credenza for sale up here that hadn't been made into a bookcase or a stereo cabinet. ( Shoulda bought the tooled leather one years ago but my brains were addled by the desecration. I don't think they were ever sold up here,,,with a mechanism intact, I mean . )
