Gramtastic wrote:Hi, a couple of these from across the pond.

2nd one:
Q1) Plain Base
Q2) serial no: 622378
Q3) Stanchion
Q4) Mar 30 1897
Q5) 8 Cities listed
Q6) Flange
Q7) Flat Pulley
Q8) Decal type 6
Q9) No decal on back
Q10) No label inside
Thank you very much for your entries. On your mandrel "tag", does your "8 Cities listed" include New York, NY? If it does, could you please list them all for me? A clear photo might be easier if you'd like.

Thanks,
Fran

Thank you Andrew, that's perfect. I consider this to be quite typical so far, with "9-Cities" listed.

Happy Holidays,

Greetings Jeff, thank you for your participation and Happy New Year back to you as well!

Would you be kind enough to check the the 2 entries I've highlighted to be sure there is a "lip" (flange) existing on the ends of the mandrel, which is facing their spring motor? I apologize for the wording of the question, I may have caused some confusion through the way I've phrased the question.

Much obliged,
Fran

I checked again and you're right I was wrong for the language phone!
Language phone
1) What is your Q’s base type? 1b
2) What is your Q’s serial number? 1063802
3) What type of governor support is used at its end (opposite the motor)? 3b
4) What is the last date stamped on the end stanchion? August 20, 1901
5) If your Q has a mandrel tag, how many cities are listed on it? 8 + NY
6) Does your mandrel have a flange for the belt to ride inside? Flat
7) Does your drive pulley have a flat end, or one with a channel? 7b Channel
8) IF CASED, which type banner decal is on the front of the lid? Language Phone (NY London)
9) IF CASED, and your Q’s lid has a decal on the back, what is the last date on it? NA
10) IF CASED, and your Q’s lid has a paper label INSIDE, what is it marked? NA
(the question was easy for the two other ones as they are still waiting for a new belt!)
Greetings,
Jeff
