If you have a Model A Triumph whose number is between 35613 and 35974, I'd very much like to know if it has rpm markings around the speed control knob.

Mine is in pretty poor shape, so the markings are hard to make out. The s/n looks like 358(or 6)2(something).

The speed markings are unlike any I've seen before. Looks like a 1-10 speed range but there are odd other characters interspersed:



F _abr 1 ^z 10



From the Italian dealer tag, which reads:



PESCE D'APRILE
Battute Fonografiche
VENEZIA



...it was apparently a model intended for export, which may be a clue.

I have Triumph 35066, a bit outside your window, and it has no markings around the speed control. It is in excellent original condition and I would expect to see markings on a machine in this condition so I doubt if it ever had markings. (You get this information, wanted or otherwise, because I had to get a flashlight, small stepladder, and move two smaller machines to get to this Triumph. )
