I just found this picture of a place card for a dinner thrown by the Society of Civil Engineers and held at the Eiffel Tower. It took place in September of 1889 and was in honor of Edison. The back of the card is signed by Edison with a really nice example of his "umbrella" signature. Along with it are those of Charles Gounod and Gustave Eiffel himself.
I just found it interesting especially with all 3 signatures together on one place card.
