A Jalapano Hot Needle Tin

Post by gramophone78 »

Now for those that know me and know I find and buy a lot of great Phono stuff down Mexico way. Here is the only Mexican needle or "agujas" tin I have ever found. This dealer "A.Wagner & Levien" were big in Mexico City from pre-1900 to the late 1920's.This tin is from somewhere in the middle.Their address was #21 Capuchinas St.Thought you all would like to see a "HOT".....I mean cool tin!!!!! .Oh!,and for those of you who are Spanish challenged friends. The front says "needles for Gramophones" "W & L brand" "Of English steel".

I'm guessing these were made for the Spanish market?

Nice packet Shane.I think it might be for the market in Portugal because the word "Puas" for needle. Here is the only other Mexican tin I have.Like yours. It is of European origin but,for the Mexican market.
