Folks,

Many years ago, I started creating paper labels for the 5000 Series Blue Amberol cylinders. Some of the data for labels was able to be produced from pictures of actual lids. However, much of the data was reproduced from information in various books and catalogs. When I finished this project, I provided the final results APS, making them available to all members.

A few days ago I was perusing the APS site, stumbled on these labels, and was appalled by the many inaccuracies (outright typo's) I had incorporated into the final document (UGH!). So, it's time to update every single label.

Ideally, I would like the data to create each label to come from an image of the actual lid. However, I don't personally have access to all of these images.

That's where you come in!

Below I have listed the numbers of the first 80 Blues Amberol 5000 series where I do not have a picture of the lid to make a label. If any of you have an original lid(s) in this number group that you could take a picture of (with enough detail to read all of the text), I would be very grateful. It will help preserve this knowledge for us and future generations. As well, it can be used to print out a more accurate paper label for our 5000 series cylinders.

I will be happy to provide a digital copy of the final product to all who contribute to this effort.

UPDATE - Thanks to the generosity of this community, I've already gotten scans of some lids!! Thank you!! keep them coming!
