Edison Fireside model A date

Post by sigurbjorn »

Hello all

I have a Edison Fireside cylinder player model A and was wondering if I could find somewhere at the internet when it was made ?. I know they were made 1909 - 1912. Serial number is 75649

Regards

Hi Sigurbjorn,

The only known original Edison sales data sadly ends at May 1908, so the Fireside is not included. I'm not aware that anyone has gathered data on the Fireside (highest known serials on the A and on the B would be a great start), but perhaps someone will chime in here.

Best of luck,
George P.

I have a Fireside, numbered 97755. There have GOT to be enough people with enough of the Model A and Model B machines to get serial data on them.

But those people need to respond, and to indicate whether their Fireside is a Modal A or Model B.

I have a Model A, No.18657.

The most helpful information would be the highest number for a Model A, and the lowest AND highest numbers for a Model B.
