From February 14, 1970: Teacher brings an Edison Standard to show her pupils.

1887? Judging by the style of the carriage this is a 1901/1902 transitional Model A Standard

The Claremont Courier (Claremont, California) wrote an article about me in the early 1990’s and I was so careful to explain to the reporter the differences between ‘Phonograph’, ‘Graphophone’, ‘Gramophone’, and ‘Victrola’ — but of course, the reporter mangled it all anyway. Probably the biggest howler was her writing that I played her a recording by “Big Spider Beck”.
