I don't stack my phonographs. I only own four upright machines, a Victor VTLA, a Victor Credenza, an Edison C19 and an Amberola 1A. As you can see each one occupies a significant place in my collection and I want ready access to them.

Occasionally I'll put a machine on top of another, but I soon get tired of moving it to play the upright below, and end up relocating it.
Portables on the other hand are a completely different story.

I don't stack, per se, but I do tuck portables under cabinet models whenever possible.

Under beds, under my work bench, they get everywhere, but their favourite hiding place is in the bottoms of wardrobes, where my wife says that they breed.
