"YES", it's real... Why did you ask about dozens of them? Does someone have dozens of these? It could be possible that a business back in the day had dozens of these printed to nail on fences, buildings, telephone poles, etc. in their area or other cities for general advertising, since there was no real way to effectively advertise your business far and wide.

If you are worried about reproductions, no one would go to the expense of having them stamped and embossed as a repro.

If you know where there is a stash of these, go ahead and grab them cheap. ;)

Just goofing around, need a little humor on this dreary/rainy day. Nice find!

Definitely real and very collectible. Most collectors would love to own one of those - I know I would. Congrats!

Is the Victrola sign real?
The answer to your question is, yes, it's real. I would speculate that the top three quarters of the sign was generic and the dealer portion was done for dealers that wished to have signs.

This one is on Ebay right now-- Does not appear to be embossed, but is a repro. Hmmm......

Apparently there were a number of originals of this sign (at least two), since the replica was an exact copy of an original and it is not the same sign as the OP has pictured...
