You have a Suitcase Home, A Fireside, A Maroon Gem and An Early Triumph, and An Opera and you're still a Novice??!??

How long have you been collecting Edisons??!???

You're the Biggest Serious Novice that I've ever seen...lol..

Ha! Yes that’s true. Actually I have quite a few other machines too. I guess what I mean is that I’m still ignorant of much of the basics even though I’ve got a bunch of machines. Probably been collecting for 3-4 years. I love this forum! I learn every single day!

Since you still consider yourself a novice, You need to do a few things...

#1. Pick up a copy of the Edison Cylinder Phonograph Companion book by George Frow. Read it cover to cover. Amazon also has an Digital Online version also available, but the Published book is "Out of print", but can ususally be found on ebay for $100-$125.

#2. Join APS. (Antique Phonograph Society) online. https://www.antiquephono.org/

#3. Download the Edison Phonograph Monthly from:

https://archive.org/details/edisonphonograph01moor

There are 14 Volumes.....Just keep changing the number at the end from 01 to 14 to download each Volume.

#4. Read them all!

After this, You'll be well versed in Edisons... You already own the machines..

Pose any questions to the TMF Forum here...
