I just purchased a needle cutter on Ebay, and included is this other tool allegedly used for phonographs. Does anyone happen to know what it is? Is it some early version of a multi-tool?
I have never seen one before, but it looks to me like it is a tool for working on or adusting a reproducer. There is a pin spanner, hex nut wrench (2), slotted spanner and potentially a small screw driver.
if you have a columbia reproducer, see if the pin spanner mates to the holes in the locking ring for the diaphragm.

I'll bet you're right, Brad. I've seen something like this before, but I can't remember where now and it was in a Columbia machine. It lined up with the front ring on a Grafonola type reproducer perfectly. The hex "wrence" part was the size as the needle bar nuts as well. That'd be a handy thing to have, as Columbia reproducers can be a pain to get apart.
