Can anyone do anything with that serial number?
Not an L2 BUT an L3 whatever that was to go by its serial number :D L30758

It just came to me an L3 is an L2 without castors and a new lid and a different opening flap !
I think Soundgen is right... The serial number gives it away - it's an L3.
L30758

The British version 25A is probably exactly the same but branded for the UK. It is not uncommon for US made machines and British made machines from the same manufacturer to be identical except for the designation... If your motor is stamped "Made in England", then you would be looking at a 25a/26a...

Unfortunately no easy answers from the motor. No “made in” only a faintly stamped “G G”

The serial number is stamped in the bottom left quarter of the plate. There is also a number and symbol on the underside of the turntable.

Thanks soundgen. I’ll stop looking for that British No.7 soundbox.
