So not to hijack GrafonolaG50's thread anymore, I'll start this on favorite Columbia cabinets.
Here are my two favorite cabinet models:
First is the GG.
The one on the right is from the first production with the "Graphophone" banner and no side handles the other is from
the second production with the "Graphophone Grand" banner and side handles.
And as you can see they carried this fancy styling to their cylinder cabinets as in the #2 and #3 record cabinets shown here
and the smaller #1.
Columbia also supplied this style cabinet with the Model C for an extra $5 around 1898, it was called the exhibition model.
My other favorite is the Colonial cabinet used on the second model HG and the AD.
There are other Columbia fancy cabinets, the AO, AA, & AB that come to mind, but these are my favorite two.
It's hard to find another manufacturer that made more stylish cabinets, if you have one show it.

Gorgeous. There's no question that Columbia made some very beautiful machines, far beyond anything Edison came out with. Comparing a Graphophone Grand to a contemporary Edison Concert shows a night-and-day difference.

You don't have to spend a great deal on money for a fancy cased Graphophone. Check out this early pot metal free AT in our Trader Section.
