Interesting 1944 twirl a tune child's phonograph.
I had to pick this little guy up. Its a Twirl a tune from 1944 hand crank children's phonograph. Complete with box and instructions. My hand is not as consistant as a motor and governor! Suprising how low and good it sounds. It's all wood, and the needle is held in a groove of a wooden peg by a wooden collar. I will be selling it soon, I just had to get it and play with it for a minute.

How nice!
Wooden construction reminds me of Tinkertoy parts. The steel restrictions of WWII may be responsible for the wood parts.

I agree, I would assume the same thing. It is all wood and wood pegs, it's really neat.
