Re: Columbia Vivatonal 711 question
I haven’t worked on the springs on my 720, but the two-spring motor can get through two 12” sides, but no more than that.

Re: Columbia Vivatonal 711 question
We could make a poll with several motors. I have to do this weekend the 2 spring hmv Burton motor. I'll take account of that! Better in a new thread!

Re: Columbia Vivatonal 711 question
I took the motor apart and was able to get it running pretty well; although It still needs a few more adjustments. The issue now is the speed control and on/off mechanism. I told myself to take a picture of how it goes together before I took it apart and I didn’t.... so now I don’t know how it goes back together. I thought I had figured it out.. but something wasn’t right. If someone can send a picture of the mechanism on your motor that would be great!
As requested here’s a video of it running. I also cleaned the cabinet yesterday... it came out really good! That horn is really something.
Cheers

Re: Columbia Vivatonal 711 question
Can someone post a few pictures of the speed control/ on/off mechanism for this motor?
I got the on/off to work... but not the speed control.
