ok what can you guys tell me about this cabinet? Just bought it and dont know much about it.

I do not know for what machine it belongs to.
Possibly a VV-X or a VV-XI? They have feet and a flat bottom rail.
The VV-XII has feet, but it has rounded corners.
It could be for another brand, too?

It's a Salter, and I suspect it's for the later VV-IX with small feet.

That has the potential to be a very attractive record cabinet. My guess would be the Victrola IX with the curved base and little corner feet. What are the top measurements on the cabinet?

George nailed it. It is a cabinet designed to fit a table top Victrola IX. Each foot will fit to those recessed areas at each corner. It is nice to have found it with the interior still intact. - John

My IX cabinet was made by Pooley and it's great, but I like yours very much. Clean it up and find a good looking IX to top it off. They are plentiful so be picky.
