My Fair Lady on NetFlix
I don't know how many of you subscribe to NetFlix but My Fair Lady has just come up in the home window. Every time I log in, a short clip of the movie plays as a trailer and, I guess it's been a while since I've seen the movie, I had forgotten that the study in which the scene takes place has at least 3 players in it. I sure would love to know where those prop machines ended up, perhaps one of you has one or all of them? I don't know much about cylinder players, can anyone identify them? I would imagine they are all Edisons with, perhaps, a Columbia thrown in?

There was also that adapter device that let you play disc records on a cylinder machine in one scene. I believe Renee aka TinFoilPhono has a video on it. From what I remember I saw a “new style” case model A standard (circa 1903 or so), and I think a early “new style” cased home with the red banner circa late 1901/early 1902 (what month did they start making homes with the gold and black banner?)

That "adapter" is a Devineau Biophone and Mike Lund has a complete one.

Re: My Fair Lady on NetFlix
So the question remains: who got the machine from the movie and where is it now? Imagine if it's in some back lot storage in an old box somewhere just waiting to be re-discovered...
