Congratulations Andy.
Nice cabinet and nice find. Much better that the first one you looked at, and the tip down drawers is a great feature which sets a apart from being just another ordinary chest of drawers.
I'd love to find something like that in Australia, but they are extremely rare here.
Can I ask how many cylinders each drawer holds?
Cylinder Cabinet identification?

Re: Cylinder Cabinet identification?
Honestly I’m not entirely sure. Because like 99% these are found the pegs are missing. Some of the circles where the pegs were are in some drawers are there but others are not.gramophoneshane wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 2:54 am Congratulations Andy.

Re: Cylinder Cabinet identification? UPDATE 4/11/22
UPDATE 4/11/22 GREAT NEWS! Yesterday I FINALLY got the cabinet (and the records inside) from my initial post!
It’s a Herzog! Type of cabinet with metal holders as opposed to wooden pegs.
I heard this was made for the Amberola 50 machine?
Anyway: photos! More about the records inside in a separate thread I’ll make later. I guess my almost 2 years of patience pays off !

Spoken (or written) by a wise collector.I’d rather have an upgrade than the same machine again.
