SAAL Motor Question

Post by Polyphone »

Does anyone know if a spring barrel from a SAAL DD motor is interchangeable with a SAAL EE motor? I do know that the SAAL DD has more record playing capability per winding than the EE from this ad in Talking Machine World.

Thank you,

Ken

I don't know much about these motors. I have the third one pictured but can't quite make out the model number.
This is only a guess, but I would think different playing time from the same number of springs, means different spring size and probably barrels.
I've copied the ad and posted below to save having to download it

FYI: The spring barrels from a SAAL DD motor is interchangeable with a SAAL EE motor.
