VV-35 Motor Question
Hi, I am cleaning a motor for a friend's VV-35 portable. The motor is stamped M103. I need suggestions on how to remove the pin that holds the idler gear to the frame. It looks like its pressed into the frame. I guess tap it out from the back? I worry about the frame cracking. Thanks for any ideas.

I can't think of any good reason to disassemble that. Just clean it in place.

Re: VV-35 Motor Question
Yep! It seems to be machine stamped, so if you remove it, you'd be in trouble to reattach it, unless you have the stamper machine!
I'd bath the entire thing (frame and wheel attached) in gasoline or whatever, then after some hours, I'd take it out and clean with an old toothbrush or whatever you use for that.

Thanks JerryVan and Inigo, I will keep it together and clean it. Seems like a better idea than taking a chance on damage.
