Just wanted to say thanks again - Pathé records now playing perfectly. Without the instructions and never having owned a similar machine/Ultona I had no idea that the tonearm slid in and out. That was the key to getting this to work. I didn't even have to level the turntable (it is tilting to the rear of the machine slightly).

Another victory for the forum!

Nice! I neither didn't remember that the Ultona had to be long or short for different types of records.
