Brunswick or General Electric?

Post by gunnarthefeisty »

So, I'm faced with a bit of a dilemma right now. I'm looking at two different magnetic pickup machines, one I already own but is far away, and one I don't. The one I own can be seen for sale in the Yankee trader is a GE H-71, it's basically an RE-57, radio/phono. The autostop is built backwards and there could be one or two wiring problems with switches, but it seems to be rebuilt. This would cost roughly $300 to frieght with another $70 for the magnetic pickup rebuilt. However, the other machine is a much earlier Brunswick P-11 that has been fully restored, however the amp is from a radio/phono of the time so it has a solid state amplifier which hasn't been hooked up yet. This would cost me $428 with taxes, and I'm really just stuck because they're both gorgeous machines. Any thoughts?
