It seemed like a good solution to being out of room. When I retired, I didn’t really need my jig bore of surface grinder, (a lathe and Bridgeport are a necessity), so part of my shop was converted into a room. Extra room means that I can get a few more machines, right? Now I have two music rooms, but I am still out of space. I don’t like to display my machines in a way that they can’t be played, so I am once again in a one in one out situation and I really like what I have, so unless that Circassian VTLA comes my way, I guess that my collection is fairly complete. Music room No.1 has another 15 machines, the living room has 3 and the bedroom has 3 as well. My wife has been great, but I don’t want to push my luck.
The 7’ mirror only adds the illusion of more space. Unfortunately, smoke and mirrors won’t provide any addition space for the next treasure.

What a beautiful collection so beautifully displayed! The unusual wall colors really set the machines off nicely and keeps the room bright. Particularly love your very choice Victrolas! For the sake of those same Victrolas, hope you used some great techniques to fasten the shelves to the walls (those Edison machines can be kind of heavy)! And also hope that your area remains earthquake-free! Thanks for letting us visit!

I too am a fan of uprights and your collection is quite impressive. I also enjoyed seeing the Victorian pier mirror too. I have a collection of antique furniture and I don't give a damn that the market values keep dropping. I bought all my antiques, because I enjoy seeing the craftsmanship and design that our ancestors accomplished. Now is the time to buy if you like quality antiques.

That's great, your collection is literally climbing the walls.
Nice stacking book case and side X side too.
