Years ago, the Chinese shops in Madrid ( this is our equivalent to the five and Ten Cent store, modernly "everything for 1€") used to sell a pencil sharpener hidden in a gramophone. The machine resembled an external flower horn model in plastic of several combined colors (pink, blue, green and yellow) and it has a movable tonearm, a grooved record, and the crank makes the record turn! A very cheap and funny marvel! It was a kind of plastic copy of the famous metal PlayMe sharpeners of the 70s-80s...
But yours is a very beautiful toy gramophone :D
