Here is part of the Victor advertising campaign for the second generation Automatic machines, they were introduced in the fall of 1928.
These models all contain the Victor Second style changer.
The 9-54 and the 9-56 (not pictured) also included the RCA’s Top of the Line Radiola 64 Superheterodyne radio.

How many of you have one (or more) of these in your collection? Post some photo here, please.

I have a second design 10-35. Love it. It's a real spacesaver compared to the 10-50 and it has a brighter sound due to the metal horn and it's more versatile in that 10 and 12- inch records can be intermixed. Plus the design is art deco Bauhaus, if such a thing exists. It looks like a machine from ten years later.

I will try to get photos soon.

Great ad. I had to look up the definition of stentorian. I have never seen that word used anywhere.

Introduced just before the stock market crash and Great Depression in 1929. :|

I'd be very interested in seeing these photos...

Me too. I had never seen that word before, and I am old enough to qualify for Medicare. :coffee:

Here is my 10-35. It is next to my “comfy” chair in the living room and is played often; my usual “go to” machine.
