I bought this a couple of years ago. It is a hardbound, sixteen page book housed in a fancy folio. Copyright 1917. Measures 12 ⅝" X 16 ⅛". Promotes the Diamond Disc machines and records. I have never seen another one of these anywhere. It seems a bit over the top to be a giveaway or mailer. Does anyone out there have any info they would share about it? Thanks.
Steve

I've run across a couple of these over the years, but not the folio. That's nice.
I suspect these were given to either purchasers or prospective purchasers whose appearance and demeanor suggested they were a good risk for a little extra "push." I don't recall seeing anything about these booklets in Edison dealer literature.

A little extra push for prospective buyers perceived to have a bit more "means". That makes perfect sense. Thank you George!!

You're welcome, Steve. That's just an assumption on my part - - as I said, I've never seen anything in Edison literature on these.
