Slightly off topic, some of you will know that I am a devotee of the Micro-Perophone Chromogram described on other threads.
Unable to meet the volume of orders for certain models in time for Christmas 1929, the Company took the unusual step of delivering higher priced models for use during the Christmas period to customers whom they would otherwise have had to disappoint.
It would be interesting to know how many of these were subsequently exchanged for lower priced models when production caught up with demand. Whatever the outcome, this was an outstanding example of customer service.
