I’m going to be visiting some pals down there that week and was thinking of checking out the radio club swap. Their info says it will include phonograph stuff too, but how far do you think that will go?
Who’s going to the swap meet in Charlotte 3/21-23?

It's a good show with outside flea market type setup. Quite a few phonographs, parts , records etc along with radios.

Are any of you TMF denizens planning to attend?

I plan to go and Mike Lund is having an open house on Saturday afternoon to see his collection...

Brian from the phonograph shop will be there. He has tons of parts so if you need something specific let him know in advance and he can bring it.

If I can make it that Saturday I can come. Unfortunately the plant is scheduled for production that day but it is possible they cancel. No bargaining, threats of layoffs, these are annoying but scheduling production in the phonograph swap season is an outrage up with which I will not put.
Here's a picture I took at the last swapmeet I attended. Don't remember whose this was but it was astonishingly loud. Ilford HP5, 1929 Agfa camera. The phonograph was one of many beautiful machines that October.
My Victor 3 is dead again of a winding ratchet ailment. If anyone there fixes those early motors I hope to meet you? I'm better at the Victrola type motors which don't have square gears and early winding ratchets.
