Late--but Different Wayne pictures

Post by outune »

Hi all- I'm a couple weeks late, but thought I'd share a few more pics of the Wayne show. My main motivation is a shout-out to Mike Devecka, the organizer of the show. I think Mike does a great job getting the word out beyond the collector community. As you can see in these pics there are quite a few people perusing all the fun stuff.
I met several new collectors and general public folks who stopped in to see what the show was all about--- including a very enthusiastic 11 year old who I helped introduce to a motivated seller that gave him a great deal on his first disc machine-- A Columbia Grafonola table top.
Anyway- I had a great time, a good show and, as always, enjoyed spending time with old and new friends.

Thanks Brad! Always good to hear about new young enthusiasts!
What machine is that with the big cabinet 3rd from the bottom? Very cool and piques my interest.
Thanks.

I was pretty busy with folks at my tables, so I didn't get the story on that machine-- It was from Charley Hummel's collection.. I heard someone say that it was a custom machine made for some rich guy--- but I really don't have any accurate info...
I'm sure someone here will know.
