FOR SALE: Berliner G&T model 3 gramophone

Post by jugiam »

Hello

I’m selling this gramophone. All is original, except the wood arm that is a perfect old copy. Nice wood original finish with its originals decals. Works perfectly, with the typical Berliner noise machine, but the spring is powerful to play a record without problem. I’m asking 2750 Euros but I can hear reasonable offers. The item is located in Spain, but I can send safelly worldwide.
Regards,
Juan

All original other than the travelling arm ?? you forgot to mention the turntable felt has been replaced and the winding crank is a reproduction. Perhaps you didn't know that ??

1- Obviously the turnatble felt is a replacement. Looks new because is ner
2- The crank IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. It’s 100 % original

Actually it’s a ‘Trademark’ Style No. 5. This style predates the No. 3 and New Style No. 3 although it may have been available at the same time towards the end of its life. The wood may be of interest to collectors as it is either mahogany or walnut which is less usual than the oak cases seen in non-mainland Europe.

I don’t recognise the soundbox. Is there a maker’s mark on it?

Hi
Instead, the reproducer is the not typical Johnson that this machine had from factory. It is a very interesting 100 % original reproducer, better sounding than a Concert, and can be rebuild when it was need without broke the mica. There is no visible marks outside, but this machine had been in the same family during all the life so its a period reproducer sure.
