British Decca Salon 10- cranking handle wanted

Just bought a Decca Salon 10 to restore, have never done a deca before .I know they have Garrard single spring motor .Looking for a cranking handle , are these standard on the Garrard motors . Thanks

Someone will be able to help you, I am sure, but did you look very carefully down inside the horn? Oftentimes it falls off & gets lost in there.

You'll have to do what everyone else does -- first of all identify which model motor you have, then work out the approximate reach and throw dimensions of the handle you require for your gramophone , then look on ebay -- often single or job lots of winding handles offered . The threads on Garrard handles do vary ,as of course do the lengths of them to suit differently designed gramophones , so naturally important to get a handle that is correct. Nothing is " standard " -- parts are generally manufactured to specification
