Any of you colleagues could have for sale the handle retaining screw for the HMV winding crank type used in the 101-103-109-127 etc?
I'm missing one for this old loyal daily player...
Not need a perfect example (the machine is somewhat tatty), just need a decent one that works.

Bump!
I need this. Not live or die... but I've been almost 15 years without the screw, and it occurred to me that someone in Europe could have one spare, perhaps from a box of 101 parts...

It's a nut you want, not a screw... if that helps at all.

That's true, thanks. It's s long cylindrical cap nut which has a screw head. Thanks for pointing out!

I'd better add some photos tomorrow of the real thing, from one of the 101s, which is the same.

It would be a quick and simple job to make one on a lathe, surly someone here has a small lathe to get the job done.
That person may also have a left hand thread tap, but they're not expensive.
Probably ¼ inch.
Chances are you'll end up having to buy another complete crank.

Re: Wanted. Back screw at the handle of HMV winding crank
That might be the solution, of course. But having so many British and European members where HMV sold so many machines using all the same screw end cap, I supposed someone would jump in with the part I need...
Thanks for the advice, I will check for complete cranks...
