The record noted by AudioAntique is also a favorite. The flip side is Yingle Bells, which is also funny and was one of my grandmother's favorite songs.

My favorite will always be the first recording of Sleigh Ride by Arthur Fielder on the Red RCA Victor label. I teach it to my students each year and look forward to the next year when I can teach it again.

This just comes to mind.
Eddie Cantor with St. Brendan's Boys Choir with Jerry Joyce's Orchestra's recording of "The Only Thing I want For Christmas" ( Is Just To Keep The Things That I've Got) on Columbia 35325.

nostalgia wrote: Wed Oct 27, 2021 4:48 pm Thanks for adding songs and records, this is a fabulous way to learn about new recordings for Christmas. Many of these songs and recordings are totally new to me, and it is also an excellent way to make a wish list.
I will myself upload some Scandinavian Christmas 78 recordings in the next few days, realizing they are not on YouTube or elsewhere online, so I had to add them myself.
Please let us know. I am not at all familiar with Scandinavian Christmas 78 recordings.

"Silent Night", by just about anyone, in any language. Also, "Noel", (but not so much "The First Noel").

As for Christmas 78s, there’s a reason why that Bing Crosby set is so common. Some of his best stuff is on that album.
