I bought two of these records awhile back, and am trying to get any information I can about them. I'm guessing they are earlier (pre-1920). Both are slightly larger than a standard 78 (about 10-¼") and appear to be vertical cut. The paste-overs would indicate that the Popular Record Co. assets were sold or transferred at some point. Any information would be highly appreciated.

Thank you both so much!! All of the info I was looking for. I also have both sites saved for future reference. Interesting neither turned up when I did an internet search.

I have a few of these In England in the 1910s there wasn't the restriction on the use of the lateral cut system like there was in America. The British record buyer had more of a variety of labels using the lateral cut.edisonplayer.

Re: Requesting Info For British Label
I have some of these and can confirm they are lateral cut, mine seem to play best at a speed approaching 90 rpm, definitely quite a bit over 78. The music seems typical for pre-WW1, and Discogs mostly agrees, with release dates estimated at 1913.
