Re: Record Label Transparencies
Paul,
We could use a few more Diamond Disc labels, in my opinion—I haven’t scanned that many of them, and mostly the paper labels that I’ve scanned for John’s YouTube videos have all been the same type of label.
...and sadly, Edison’s etched labels look like black circles when scaled to avatar size.

Here is my DD. This is the best I could get.
Every pic I have taken gets, a bit out of focus.

Re: Record Label Transparencies
Paul,
Here’s your black label Re-Creation:
...and as usual, it can also be found in the stock avatar gallery.
I can’t say that I’d seen one of these before, I don’t think. By the way, if anyone wants to be able to write ‘Re-Creation’ as Edison often did on his labels, please note that I added the [scaps] formatting option to the message composition tools...so you can just highlight the text you want to have small-capitals, then click [scaps], which will give you text that looks like:
You may need to hold down the Shift key and click Reload to force your browser to refresh the forum style sheet to get it to display properly.
Enjoy!

Here's on more for the stock avatar gallery if you like. Perhaps a little clearer.

I either need a scaner, or a new camera.

Re: Record Label Transparencies
I think the scanners are the best bet. They are cheap and you don't get any of the issues with reflections and with focus. Probably can be done well with a camera too if you know what you are doing but I'm just not that clever
