Wait a minute. This seller probably knows nothing about phonographs or records but realizes these may be antique and potentially precious. Rather than toss them out, he/she at least is giving collectors a chance to judge them. Quite frankly, I have saved almost every broken record and cylinder I own in case some day someone figures out a way to repair or salvage them -- I do this for the same reason this seller is offering these broken records -- because they are antiques and it's a shame to just toss them out. Sure they are worthless to those of us who know such things. But I would not judge this seller off hand.
