"Two Little Girls in Blue" brown wax home recording (1901)

Post by JPow »

Is anyone familiar with the song "Two Little Girls in Blue"? It was composed by George Graham in 1893.

I own a brown wax cylinder home recording of the song (below), which dates to 11/27/1901. Sounds to me like an elderly male singer w/ accordion accompaniment. Nicely done and a catchy tune!

From my research, I haven't found any cylinders - or even pre-1930 78s - w/ this title. Really nothing until this nice 1930 record by Gerald Adams.

Am I missing any early "Two Little Girls in Blue" records?

1930 of the song by Gerald Adams (circa 1930 Regal record)

1915--Victor Mixed Chorus did it as part of a record called "Songs of the Past" either No. 1. or No. 2.
