Fabulous side! What an intriguing photo that second one is. The banner in the background bills it as C-S's Novelty Orchestra, and fittingly several instruments are most unusual. The large one to the left is obviously a bass, but despite playing myself (and loving unusual string bass instruments - e.g. I have a guitarron and a contrabass balalaika) I've never seen one like that. Also present is a harp guitar, and there's another instrument far right that looks like a mandolin but is larger.epigramophone wrote:Super record but hard to find in the UK. The second photo of the band shows a musician on the left playing what looks like a giant mandolin. Does anyone know what it is?
