Joe Herlihy trombonist

I have a couple of Diamond Discs by Joe Herlihy and His Orchestra; State and Madison and Cornfed. I looked up the personnel in one of my Rust books (don't recall if it was the dance or jazz discography where these titles showed up) and the trombone player is listed as Jerry Colonna - would this be the same Jerry Colonna as the comedian that toured with Bob Hope? Interesting that he got his start playing in bands if it's the same person.

Thanks. Figured it might be but I really didn't know that he started out playing in dance bands. Also a very respectable "hot" trombone solo on the State and Madison side.
