I recently transcribed Charlie Parker’s solo on Lover. I was so excited to do this solo because I own the record :D

I can post the two videos here another way if this doesn’t work well..... but here’s me playing along with my Brunswick Cortez!

If there is a better way to post the videos please let me know!! For those who are on Instagram, my username is davidzavracky, I’ve got the videos posted on there!

Cheers

David

Wow!!! I really enjoyed those. What a fabulous talent you have there! And a fun shot from behind the tonearm.

Thanks guys!

I’ve often wondered if I should start a YouTube channel about these videos.

Here is a Benny Goodman transcription I did in may of 2019. My collection sure was smaller

I would suggest posting the videos on YouTube. If you don't want them to be public, you can set a video so that it doesn't show up in searches.

Alrighty. But if they are put on YouTube won’t they also be public?

By default, yes, so if that's what you want, you're all set. I'm just pointing out that there are other options. For example, I use the "unpublished" option to send demo videos of machines and records to specific people who show interest, rather than just publishing them publicly. It's entirely up to you.

How do you make an unpublished post?

Upload to YouTube as usual, go into Studio, select Videos. Under "visibility", click the current setting for the video you want to change - it will probably say "public". Then choose "unlisted" or "private". I use unlisted because it allows you to send the video URL to anyone but the video doesn't show up on your channel or searches. If you use private, you can only send it to specified users and I think they have to have a password too.

You may also be able to set this while you're uploading your video. It's been a while since I've done that so I'm not sure.
