Of all 78rpm music who is your favorite storyteller? IMO Frank Crumit is at the top.

David Bispham. Primitive recording and all, I have yet to hear an account of Erlkonig that could touch his projection of the various characters.

Out of several versions which I have on 78, Peter Dawson's diction and characterisation make this my personal favourite :drh wrote:David Bispham. Primitive recording and all, I have yet to hear an account of Erlkonig that could touch his projection of the various characters.

Re: Who's your favorite storyteller?
I really like Lyn Harding.
I particularly like listening to his rendition of 'Gunga Din'.
(I am sorry if I have mis-understood the meaning of 'story-teller )
Oh, Music !
Then it has to be Jack Train - I really like listening to his 'The Lord Of The Blooming Manor' !
