Lady Luck snuck into a council meeting with the victrola deities. I got two boxes of early 78s the other day & am still going through them.
Here is a sampling of early 10" Columbia Grand Prize and a bunch of old 7" Columbias of various labels and eras, all old and cool and neat to have picked up. I'll post more as I go through the boxes of 78s. It's been pretty fun!
If I get lucky I'll start figuring out how to record these for you.

Charles, that was a really great find. I am excited to see what titles you find in those boxes of 78's

Would you like one, Andy? I've got lots to go around now. What kind of condition are you looking for? Particular titles? I think I can spare some if you'd like one.AmberolaAndy wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 10:38 pm I would love to find any early 7 inch disc for my collection.

Re: Some early 7" goodies
Were those posted in CT on FaceBook? I think I saw that ad and saw the old labels there. I would have jumped on it as I appear to have stumbled upon the ad after only an hour of it being up but, alas, Vermont is just too far from everything to get anything unless it's something I can work out ahead of time. I almost called up a buddy in Haddam Neck to pick them up for me... nice score!
