Some early 7" goodies

Post by VanEpsFan1914 »

Lady Luck snuck into a council meeting with the victrola deities. I got two boxes of early 78s the other day & am still going through them.

Here is a sampling of early 10" Columbia Grand Prize and a bunch of old 7" Columbias of various labels and eras, all old and cool and neat to have picked up. I'll post more as I go through the boxes of 78s. It's been pretty fun!

If I get lucky I'll start figuring out how to record these for you.

Charles, that was a really great find. I am excited to see what titles you find in those boxes of 78's

AWESOME find Charles! I would love to find any early 7 inch disc for my collection.

Would you like one, Andy? I've got lots to go around now. What kind of condition are you looking for? Particular titles? I think I can spare some if you'd like one.

Charles.

Were those posted in CT on FaceBook? I think I saw that ad and saw the old labels there. I would have jumped on it as I appear to have stumbled upon the ad after only an hour of it being up but, alas, Vermont is just too far from everything to get anything unless it's something I can work out ahead of time. I almost called up a buddy in Haddam Neck to pick them up for me... nice score!
