I've never come across Mabel Constanduros on the HMV label before, only on the 8" Broadcast records, which featured the adventures of the Buggins family.

Here's a similar, although perhaps more limiting admonition from an early 1930's classical set. The Record Library venue in San Francisco is now a nail salon.

I'm curious about these stamped flowers on the record sleeves... I've never seen them on a Victor classical set... Is the album original Victor, or a substitute from the library?

It's an original Victor album. There are flowers on the sleeves of several of my other original Victor scroll-label classical sets.

Ahaaaa, I own several of the later circle label Victor sets , and these are plain sleeves. The only old style album of classical scroll label victrola records is from 1927, the beethoven ninth symphony, but this is not standard, it says beethoven memorial album, but has plain brown sleeves too. Never had seen those flowers before!

I have some flowered sleeves in Victor sets too.

One is a long playing Program Transcription set of Stokowski conducting Brahms' 4th. It must be from the early 1930's then.

I like it! It makes sense as the record was used so often via library loans. In order for it to last, the softer needles would help. I agree, the floral sleeves are very nice. I have never seen a request from a library to not use certain needles. Then again, I've never known libraries to carry 78's. Vinyl yes but not 78's...At least not here...Very cool though.
