Phonocut records aren't common to find. It's not from the 30's, more like the 'teens. Vertically modulated sapphire ball records as noted.
It's the one vertical record among all those lateral discs. There could be more verticals in there though. Early Aeolion-Vocalion discs are also vertical, but not any of the brown / red ones I don't think. The early vertical A-V are regular black.
