Interesting to see the Harry Leader version on Eclipse. I would assume it is a dub from the American version.
Sure, Chunny, you can use it, happy to contribute to your fine site! As to the Harry Leader, you are probably correct - the quality of the recording is far from great, which may point to a dub, and my copy is not in pristine shape neither.

Wow, thank you gentlemen for schooling me on it! At this point in time, any version is better than no version to play on either my Credenza or 8-35.

Eclipse 661 was recorded in London on March 17, 1934, the vocalist is Les Allen. There is no “dub of the American pressing”, those small discs were notorious for poor reproduction all on their own. The song didn’t receive much play in the US at the time; those who were “hep” to Noble’s arrangements and musicians sought it out, but you wouldn’t find it in every jukebox, for example! :D
