So I have four of these, but it’s not complete. I can’t find any information?

Re: Edison Special Records
There's an article in the December 2020 issue of the APS magazine that covers the history of these records and attachments in detail.

Re: Edison Special Records
I think others will fill in the gaps
These were a set of cylinders sold as part of an upgrade kit to convert your Edison phonograph to play with a diamond b reproducer.
I think there are 12 up to letter L at least.
I have special K ( which is a brand of breakfast cereal as well ) The Peerless Minstrels.
and A the 4 Jacks March.
Similar promotions were made when the upgrade from 2 to 4 minute was introduces in 1907/08
also there were special wax cylinder sets made for people who had made a sale of a phonograph to a new customer.
I think some of these earlier wax freebies were not specified by title just content Special G- song A-Band and possible used up old stock so the actual record in the box varied.
The blue amberol specials are, I think , always the same titles.
Content wise they are a cross section of the Edison catalogue and one or two are not that special to listen to but the Four Jacks March and the Murry K Hill record are both good.
A set of these represents an earlier phonograph bought back to life with the latest development in cylinder record technology no built in obsolescence for Edison owners how different form the iPhone etc.

Sorry, I didn’t know this was discussed previously? I don’t come on here a lot, mostly I post questions, when I do.

Re: Edison Special Records
I was pleased to see a link to the earlier topic but must say entering a search for it didn't work for me.
Do I assume that as with many letter based lists the I is missing to avoid confusion with 1 and there are them 10 records A to K.

Re: Edison Special Records
I have the following without trying to find them, just with mixed lots I have bought in the UK over many years.
A,B,E,H,J,K.
it does suggest that Edison owners even in the gramophone dominated UK of the time were converting their machines.
