Both Brothers played trumpet and Tommy can be heard on rare records doing so. He was good!
Tommy grew to prefer trombone, while Jimmy grew to prefer reeds, beginning with alto and later learning clarinet.

Reportedly, Charlie Parker liked Jimmy Dorsey and he was the last thing he saw on television before he died.
